We started this journey many years ago, knowing that our daughter was waiting for us somewhere in China. That journey began in 2004, but after a setback healthwise, we had to pull out, thinking our hopes were dashed forever. Then in late 2005, with renewed purpose and strength we again began the process of our adoption. We were logged into China March 28th, 2006, and were matched with our Dear Daughter, October 13th, 2009. GOTCHA 12/14/09 Forever Ours 12/15/09

The Swearing In Ceremony At The U.S. Consulate 12/20/09

"I SOLEMNLY SWEAR", (state your name)..... uhh, wait, that's different...... oh forget it, what she said. ................. Today we had our U.S. Consulate appointment. Baylon is now an official U.S. Citizen, well, not yet....... let's just say that all of her ducks are in a row. Her Visa will be picked up today, and that will be the last link set in this exceedinly long chain... as soon as those squeaky shoes of hers, hit U.S. Soil, well actually as soon as we go through customs and her passport gets stamped with a U.S. port of call, she will officially be an American Citizen. YAY !
