We started this journey many years ago, knowing that our daughter was waiting for us somewhere in China. That journey began in 2004, but after a setback healthwise, we had to pull out, thinking our hopes were dashed forever. Then in late 2005, with renewed purpose and strength we again began the process of our adoption. We were logged into China March 28th, 2006, and were matched with our Dear Daughter, October 13th, 2009. GOTCHA 12/14/09 Forever Ours 12/15/09

Settling Into Routines

We are settling into a wonderful routine these days.  Baylon IS sleeping better.... sometimes not as much as I'd like, but she is definitely sleeping.

Here she is in a typical afternoon of play.  She has numerous toys, as does Pirate and Chelsea..... mostly Pirate, as Chelsea isn't a big toy pooch....... BUT, the amazing thing here is that there is a mutual respect amongst Pirate and Baylon.  He leaves her toys alone, and will seek out his own, and only his own, and Baylon will pick up a toy, a toy that is mixed in with her toys, and she will hold it up and say Pi Pi......   (I know, I know..... gotta fix those wires !)

Here we have a typical breakfast...... well, Baylon will munch on Cheerios with her brother Timothy. They each share the Cheerios while I make a real breakfast.  Timothy is so gentle with Baylon, and in everyday life, this little guy can try to take your finger off...... but not our little girl.  He's as sweet as pie with Baby Baylon......

Waiting For Ling-Ling said...

Baylon looks wonderful! Lily is sleeping better too-she has some days (like last night) where she wakes up multiple times, but for the most part is sleeping the night through. Makes it easier for me since I have to get up early in the am and teach! Although Lily is no longer terrified of our Samantha-she's still not warmed up to her. She'll touch her, but I know she's afraid. Poor Sammy is just so big and playful-she can't help but be excited when she's near Lily. This enthusiasm really scares the baby and I'm back to square one. Oh well-I'll keep trying and hopefully they will come to love each other.

Hope all is well,
Lourdes
